Cult Nails 'Toxic Seaweed' & 'Mazo'

Hello Readers,

I know I haven't been posting much but between moving, crazy strange health issues, school, work, and other projects going on it's been difficult to find the time. Ok, enough blah blah, today I have Cult Nails Limited Edition 'Toxic Seaweed' as an accent nail and Cult Nails 'Mazo' on the other nails. I used 3 coats of 'Mazo' (it's sheer but the layered effect is so pretty) and 2 coats of 'Toxic Seaweed'. I know everyone has seen these but they really are quite beautiful. They can both be purchased directly from Cult Nails' website here and cost $10 each.

Now for the pictures...

I'd describe 'Toxic Seaweed' as having a medium-dark teal jelly base with orange-pink flakes and gold fine glitter. It's nice and thick and covers quite well. 'Mazo' is a sheer tan nude with fine gold, green and pink shimmer sparkles. They're both stunning and have easy to apply formulas.

Cheers,
Bridget

Rescue Beauty Lounge 'Iconoclast'

Hello Readers,

Today, I have a beautiful rich black shimmer from Rescue Beauty Lounge called 'Iconoclast'. It can be purchased directly from RBL's website here for $18.00 and while it's currently out of stock I'm sure it will be available before too long. I used 2 coats (I could have gotten away with 1 thicker coat) and 1 topcoat. This color has such a pure black pigment with a very fine silver, pink and teal shimmer to it. Once it's on the nails it appeals to be a rich black with a slight silver shimmer.

Isn't this just gorgeous?! *exhales*

So, what do you gals and gents think? This polish is just another reminder of why I love RBL so much despite their $18 price tag. If you just have a couple of cheap black polishes it might be worth treating yourself to this one! Until next time...

♥ Cheers,
Bridget

China Glaze 'High Def'

Hello Readers,

Today, I have a quick post of China Glaze 'High Def' from the Tronica collection. I absolutely LOVE this collection and I'm pretty sure it doesn't get enough credit. This is my absolute favorite color from the collection and it has a much better holo effect than you think from viewing the bottle.

Now on to the pics...

With flash - the holo looks like this in most lights in person!
I'd describe this color as a medium blue, somewhat muted and it's definitely a cool (not warm) shade of blue. It's somewhat a htf color but can be found on eBay anywhere from $9-$15+.

So, what do you ladies and gentleman think? Do you have any colors from the Tronica collection? If so, what are your favorite colors?

Cheers,
Bridget

a-England 'Princess Tears' & OPI 'DS Diamond'

Hello Readers,

Today, I have a comparison post between a-England 'Princess Tears' from the The Legend collection and OPI 'DS Diamond'. When I got the a-England polish I automatically knew I had to do a comparison post! I'd say that the aE is a cooler purple with a finer holo and of course it has a pink-purple flash that the OPI doesn't possess. Also, the aE formula is more opaque. I used two coats for both.

And with flash...
I'd say they're both different enough but if you have one you probably don't need the other. You can purchase a-England polishes directly here priced at $14.22 when converted to USD (£9) and they ship to the US for free! OPI 'DS Diamond' is considered a 'htf' polish and can be found on eBay from anywhere to $15-$35+.

What do you guys think? Own either of these babies? I love them both! Ahhh.... pretties!

Cheers,
Bridget

OPI 'Red Lights Ahead...Where?' & Lacquistry '24k Shredded'

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

I hope everyone is having a nice romantic day! Today, I have OPI 'Red Lights Ahead...Where?' & Lacquistry '24k Shredded' layered together. I really wanted a bright orange-red shade to use with these gold shards and I think it came out pretty nice!

What I started out with...

Then I added Lacquistry's '24k Shredded'...

And a close up...

Gold baby gold!!!...

And another close up...

So, what do you guys think?? I'm pretty much in love with Lacquistry polishes, the gold one can be found here. While it's currently sold out, Jenna is really good about re-stocking! Her full sized bottles are $7.50 and she makes other 'shredded' polishes in red, black, blue, and pink!! If you like glitter, she can satiate that need as well!

If you want to see the Valentine's Day Shards, you can see them here used by The Lacquerologist!

Cheers Loves,
Bridget
